Hello, we are Bethel Baptist Church, Farnham

Bethel Church is a Christian community that meets in Upper Hale, Farnham.  We aim to help each other know God and to live out our faith in Jesus together.  We all come from different backgrounds and have different stories to tell about how God has changed us.

Anyone is welcome to come along to any of our meetings or activities; you don’t have to be ‘religious’.  We try to make what we do understandable and helpful to people today.

Leadership Team

I am employed full-time by the church and lead the church together with the other elders.

Paula McNeight, Church Administrator

I joined the staff team in June 2019 to coordinate administration,
communication and management of the church premises.

Keith Holburn, Elder

Mike Roper, Elder

I joined the eldership team in 2017.  My role includes serving the church in pastoral care, leading the Missions Committee and one of the community groups, and supporting local outreach.

Richard Honeysett, Elder

My responsibilities in church life are varied, but I particularly enjoy overseeing the music, social activities and leading a ladies’ bible study.

John Clothier, Deacon

I started going to Bethel Baptist Church when I moved to Farnham in 2014 with my wife Amanda. We have two young children, Thomas & Abbey, who are very lively and noisy, so keep us more than busy! God has done big, amazing things in my life and it is great to be able to serve him in a small way at Bethel, through playing the drums and helping with the children’s work.
